I did it! Again. I survived another long long plane ride. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, then most of you know that I was in the Canary Islands the past 2 weeks. It’s this time every year my church takes a missions trip. Last year we went to Africa, and this year we were Spain bound. I have been busy working on all my photos, designing an album, and even putting a video together from this trip. I wanted to take the time to post a couple of “Sneak Peek” photos from my trip. We had the trip of a lifetime. I can’t wait to share story after story with you guys. Keep your eyes open for a full length Canary Islands, Spain blog post.

Oh–I highly suggest everyone take your summer beach trip to here from now on. It was beautiful.

This post is way past over due, and I know it. Blogging hasn’t always been a strong point for me. But, I decided and well, kinda set my mind to the fact that I WAS going to start blogging more since I have this super duper fancy new blog. And, well..I failed at that too. The busy days at work, the stresses of everyday, and church have certainly caused me to fall behind.
I shot these photos back in December of 2009 for the Powell’s Christmas Card. I recently came across them again while doing some file re-organizing (that I was in major need of), and thought I need to Blog these. Lilly (oldest), Addy and their family are family friends of ours that we have known since way back when. Lilly and Addy’s Mom used to “babysit” us, tutor us in school, take us to the park, and the list could go on and on. But, it seems like just yesterday these precious little Kiddos were born. I remember going to see Lilly at the hospital, and doing it all over again when Addy arrived. These girls are precious, not only to me, but to many people. How could I not blog those precious little faces.
Oh, and by the way girls, we are in desperate need of a new photo session. It has been way to long. I have some pretty fun ideas.

Most of you have been asking and I can now make your day a little brighter. Finally. They’re READY! As Bro. Greg said, I will be out in the foyer for the next couple of Sundays starting May 30th. There you will find printed proofs for those who do not have access to internet and can place your order. Those of you who are reading this post and have access to the online proofing, please only use it as a reference. We are trying to keep all monies separate, and ask that you place your order through me, at church, on the specified Sundays. So jot down your favorite Image number. Click HERE to view proofs.

As many of you know, several weeks back was the infamous Kim Box’s Birthday. Of course we couldn’t NOT celebrate. So I arrived at the studio very early on the morning of her big day. It’s always kind of been another life/ dream of mine to be an event planner. I love every detail of a wedding, a party, anything. I love it. So I decided what better way to use my skills than on Kim herself. So the night before, I left church and drug my sister, Morgan, and my best friend Jonny to Target and Walmart, knowing I need balloons, streamers, and all the Birthday Party essentials. I swear I spent 2o minutes on the party aisle trying to decide on what to get. Those of you who do not know Kim, she is very picky. Which was all the more reason to go over the top and use tons of wild colors.
So I did just that. I quickly grabbed multi-color streamers and balloons, party blowers, lime green table cloths, and even pin the tail on the donkey.
After getting everything set up and in place, I thought to myself, we are missing something. Then all of a sudden a lightbulb went off, a Photo Booth. Thats what we need. I quickly found all my left over streamers and balloons, remembered that we had some big glasses, smitten sticks, and some other silly props. So in the biggest hurry (trying to finish before Kim walks in) I got the staple gun and went to stapling. I say all of this to say, Kim’s day was so much fun. Cotton Candy, doughnuts, orange juice, a delicious lunch, and of course friends. I couldn’t let you miss out on all the fun. So I did it. Yup. I posted all of our silly, crazy, and over the top Photo Booth pictures. Enjoy. If you are interested in having the Photo Booth at your wedding, party, or next big event…please contact the studio for more information. 334.491.0409

Anna Clare is a sweet dear friend of mine. She recently came to have lunch with me one afternoon at work, and of course when coming to a photography studio you can’t leave without have your photo taken. Below are just a couple we snapped in a 20 minute Anna Clare Mini Session. Thank you so much Anna for coming to visit. Oh- and most importantly THANK YOU for bringing Evan G Cooper his favorite comfort food– Chick- fil- A.

Several weeks back I had the chance to photograph the last High School Senior in the Kirkpatrick Family. Years ago when I had just begun playing with a camera, I photographed Bobby, Amber’s Brother. It’s so weird/ awesome/ strange/ exciting/ everything in-between to see how not only I as a photographer has changed, but how photography in general has changed. I have known this family for quite sometime now and they are just such genuine people. Thank you so much for allowing me into your life to photograph all those special moments. YES. Even the Christmas Card Photos. haha Here are just a couple of my favorite images from Ambers session.

I know. I said it in my video below, and I honestly meant it. I have been waiting for this day quiet sometime. Nicole has been working on my new blog design for a couple of weeks now, and it’s finally up. I am so thrilled and excited for everyone to see. I love it. I don’t think that it could be any more me. Again, I love it.
On a different note, this past weekend I have the honor going out with a couple of my photography buddies to just spend the day chatting and learning from each other. Alice, brought her son and his friend to be our “models” for the day. They were super duper shy to begin with, but by the end of the day, I think they were beginning to think they were really models. Thanks Connor and Noland for being such good sports.
I have been telling Alice she needed a new headshot for her website, so we did just that.
